Dear Friends of Elkhart Brass:
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States of America. On that dark day, 2,973 people were lost in the twin towers collapse and elsewhere in terrorist outrages in our country. Terrorists struck a staggering blow at the heart of America when they attacked New York City’s World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, PA. In a moment the whole world changed.
At the heart of Elkhart Brass are the first responders. We are committed to innovation and providing smart solutions to address the challenges these individuals face. Their bravery, courage and determination as firefighters is highly admirable. On this day and every day, we celebrate and appreciate their hard-work and never ending passion for saving lives.
Paying Tribute.
To honor the 9/11 victims, survivors and those that rose in service in response to the attacks on our nation, September 11th has been designated a National Day of Service and Remembrance. In many areas, volunteers will honor veterans, soldiers and first responders by collecting donations, assembling care packages, and writing thank you letters. Elkhart Brass is proud to participate in these efforts through two very important organizations: 9/11 Memorial and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF). To learn more about Elkhart’s participation visit www.elkhartbrass.com.
Today, I ask you to reflect and honor the lives we lost, the heroes who responded in our hour of need, their families and the brave men and women in uniform who continue to protect our country at home and abroad. Let us never forget this day that brought Americans together in the spirit of compassion, unity, and service.
Sincerely,
